Spring escapes: what to pack

Spring escapes: what to pack

From London to New York to Sydney, Boden is celebrating the arrival of spring (or autumn for antipodeans) across the globe. Whether it’s beach cover ups, city break sophistication or clever layering for unpredictable climes, these international bloggers have style solutions to suit all…

The Australian beach break
Chloé Hill, By Chill
“It may be autumn down under, but thankfully the weather is still warm enough to warrant a relaxing break at one of Sydney’s beautiful beaches!

Australia’s sandy shores call for lightweight separates that can double as beach cover-ups. Just layer over your swimmers and you’re good to go!

In my opinion you can never wear too much print so of course I’ve partnered my favourite patterned pieces, mixing stripes with a criss-cross printed skirt. To top off my playful look I’ve added metallic extras: sturdy sandals and a backpack are practical picks for a beachside adventure!”

The Scottish country escape
Wendy Gilmour, Thankfifi
“Skye in the North of Scotland is only a drive away from where I live and has just the most incredible scenery – mountains, colours and nature – the perfect remedy for mind and body.

Lots and lots of layers are a Scottish essential – the weather changes so quickly so you need to be adaptable! I especially love relaxed layers, a little bit of slouchy keeps things looking like you didn’t try too hard and the knotted shirt at the waist is such a great, versatile piece for switching up from day to night whilst giving some shape among all those layers!

I’m a sucker for cashmere, especially for travel, and the strike of bright chartreuse adds a little sunshine and fun and this great bag has been on all my recent trips (just a shame I can’t fit the puppy in there!). What can I say about the Lille shoes?  Flat lace-ups are the shoe of the season and these suede beauties are making my toes smile!”

The American spring break
Lacey Faeh, A Lacey Perspective
“When I think of spring break what first comes to mind is  being able to get some work done in a sunny place, such as Napa, with a glass of rosé in my hand. Sigh. Take me there now.

When I saw the Pandora Skirt, my immediate instinct was this is the perfect packing piece to work wherever your destination – exploring the city, lunching by the coast, ‘working’ at a winery…

For me, I wanted even more pink pattern. I chose stripes to clash and give the floral skirt a little edge. Sure this is a lot of pink but I just can’t help but celebrate that spring is here! I then paired the look with these more neutral heeled mules. The final result? A grown-up and sophisticated silhouette.”
