Dress To Impress

Caroline: “This glorious Althea lace dress ticks all the boxes for any type of summer occasion. The silhouette suits all shapes and sizes and, very importantly, it’s breathable so it’s ideal for hot, balmy evenings. The full skirt adds a pretty 50s-style Riviera finish. For a late beachside lunch I teamed it with a statement embroidered block heel and a colourful clutch.”

Jessica: “The nature-inspired colours of the Andrea dress make it a timeless classic. The dress is very versatile and looks great for a day of sightseeing or for a smart lunch date. Plus, the chevron print is very flattering and forgiving which means I can indulge in lots of extra pudding.”

“I teamed the dress with the fun tassel sandals, which are now a permanent fixture on my feet. Comfortable, with a bohemian flair, they’ll see me though many summers to come. They look good with a dress or with slouchy boyfriend jeans turned up at the hem.”

Summer Nights

Caroline: “I love this look for its ease and slightly dressed-up feel. It’s a great outfit  for a trip away to places where temperatures can cool off as the day wears on. The tapered leg of the jeans looks great with a pair of sandals and t-shirt or you can mix it with a pair of fun vibrant heels like I’ve done here. The top is also a genius find. The main detailing in the back gives this otherwise simple masculine silhouette a feminine touch.”

Jessica: “This whole outfit defines the slouchy-cool look that I most enjoy wearing. The Nora top is brilliant as it looks like I’ve made much more effort than I actually have, thanks to the split opening at the back revealing a woven panel, The side-stripe jeans are comfortable, cool and flattering. They can be dressed up with the embroidered heels for a night on the cobbles or can be worn with flats. The Vita clutch adds a welcome pop of colour and actually fits a mobile, a wallet, keys and some make-up.”

Get Shorty

Caroline: “Shorts are an absolute must for a summer holiday, especially lightweight linen ones. They look good on the beach over your swimsuit or teamed with a silk vest and light jumper for a day pottering around the city shops. I added the Gabriela tote which is the ideal size for all your beach items (and has an inner zip compartment for your valuables) and a pair of leopard-print sandals for a touch of fun.”

Jessica: “This is my ‘just off the beach’ look. My striped shorts are so comfortable and easy to wear and I’ve thrown on a V-neck jumper for an extra bit of warmth when the sun sets. The tassel bag is a cool yet practical addition for the beach or a stroll around town.”

Seeing Double

Caroline: “For something a little different to brighten up my summer wardrobe, I opted for the Amanda jumpsuit. The fitted bodice is very much on trend while the cropped wide leg really accentuates your frame. I also love the square neckline; it sits nicely on my shoulders and looks fabulous on those with a bigger bust.  To add a little day-time glamour I chose the fantastic  glitter espadrilles and the eye-catching Gabriela rose gold tote.”

Jessica: “Meet your perfect sightseeing outfit. The Nora top is warm and soft, so will take me from morning to night without having to change.  The wide crop trousers are a super flattering cut and the floral print really lifts the whole look.  These heels are also one of my favourite shoes of the season – a vibrant blue that adds colour to any outfit and are actually comfortable.”

Noelle Downing puts her best foot forward in Palm Springs

Fancy Footwork
“My new favourite style combination – yellow mules and a candy striped midi skirt. The Pamela mules add just the right amount of height for the skirt and the bright colours look so stunning against the backdrop of the flower field. Go-to summer outfit = found.”

Swimwear Solution
“I have a hard time finding bikinis I feel comfortable in, but I adore this two piece. It’s so flattering, plus the wide-rimmed hat is added protection from the sun for a day by the pool.”

Colour Scene
“I stayed at the beautiful Saguaro hotel in Palm Springs and the colours of the building were a match made in heaven with the Lara dress. The colours and print are so much fun and I feel great every time I put it on. It would also work with a wide spectrum of colours so it’s the ideal dress for travelling.”

Fashion Formula
“I don’t have the perfect formula for packing for a trip away but my basic mantra is ‘everything looks good with stripes’ (as you’ll see below). For a dinner date in the beautiful Cotswolds I’ve chosen cashmere for comfort and killer heels for attitude. It’s the simple things that make the biggest impact.”

Colour Me Happy
“When you pass that perfect field too good to miss for Instagram… I’ve softened my Breton stripes with a lace skirt and injected colour by way of my red bag and glasses. “

Food For Thought
“Fresh produce and expensive flowers – a mini break isn’t complete without them. For a quick trip to the farm shop I dressed down the striped blue Riviera dress with, you guessed it, another stripe. It feels more relaxed for a morning trip out  (plus it’s the ideal way to be able to wear this dress on chiller mornings). The pink sliders add a subtle hit of colour to my feet as a finishing touch.”
